Carl J. Coleman, 59, formerly of Mound Bayou, died Thursday, November 22, 2012, at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Mich.

Celebration of life services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Lampton Street Church of Christ with Reverend Dr. R.B. Holmes Jr., former president of the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education and pastor of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church of Tallahassee, Fla., officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Green Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. with Family Hour from 6-7 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2012, at Brinson Funeral Home in Cleveland.

He is survived by his three sons, Zachary Coleman of Memphis, Tenn., Johnathan Davis of Tyler, Texas, and Christopher Bush of Montgomery, Ala.; daughter, Marquita Simone Cain of Atlanta, Ga.; and stepdaughter, Tiaosha Love-Jones of Atlanta, Ga.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brother, Dr. James W. Coleman of Louisville, Ky.; and sisters, Wanda Coleman Allen of Detroit, Mich., Brenda Coleman Sabree of Baltimore, Md., and Constance Coleman Holmes of Atlanta, Ga.
