Cynthia "Cush" Yvette Marshall died Sunday, March 10, 2013.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Walls, with Pastor Dr. Lloyd Cooper Sr. of Peter's Rock Holiness Church officiating

Arrangements are with Superior Funeral Home Chapel in Memphis, Tenn.

Cynthia was born February 7, 1970, in Shelby to the late Reverend Lawyer Clark and Julia Johns Marshall. She accepted Christ and was baptized in 1981 at Saint Andrew M.B. Church, under the late Rev. J.L. Featherston. She graduated from Broad Street High School in May 1988. Cynthia completed her course of study (choir) from Mary Holmes Jr. College in West Point in 1992, and worked as an insurance agent for Donald & Associates until the late ’90s.

Cynthia is preceeded in death by her father, Rev. Lawyer C. Clark; and her brothers, Eddie "Sonny" Clark and Lawyer Clark Jr.

She is survived by her mother, Julia Johns Marshall Weathersby of Memphis; an extremely close aunt, Deola Johns Williams of Joliet, Ill.; two children, Pastor Elijah Dixon Marhall of Memphis; and Ashaunti Cyntell Colburn of Calumet City, Ill.; three grandchildren; four sisters Annyce Bridgett Johns of Shelby; Bessie "Joel" Reese of Columbus, Ohio, Edna Henry and Bobbie Dulaney, both of Milwaukee, Wis.; two brothers, Everett A. Marshall of Memphis, and Willie Clark of Rosedale; seven uncles; close nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
