Henry-Comans Mr. and Mrs. John Henry of Cleveland announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Robbie Henry of Cleveland, to James Comans of Jackson, son of Rell and Sharon Webber of Terry and Author and Pam Comans of Madison. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of A.V. Henry of Cleveland. She is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor of art’s degree in history, and a graduate of the Mississippi University for Women with a bachelor of science degree in speech-language pathology and a psychology minor. She was the drum major of the Maroon Band at MSU, a member of the Lab Rats Improv Comedy Troupe, a member the Shackoul’s Honors College, and graduated MSU Summa Cum Laude. She is also involved in the MSU Theater and Starkville Community Theater. The prospective groom is the grandson of Katherine Comans of Jackson. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor of arts in communications and a master’s in education, and a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a specialist (Ed.S) degree in educational leadership. He is a member of the Mississippi Professional Educators, a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and a recipient of the University of Mississippi’s Andrew P. “Ike” Mullins Award for Exemplary Leadership Skills. He is also a co-sponsor for the Junior Civitans Club, a trainer for the Mississippi Department of Education, and a teacher-consultant for the Mississippi Writing-Thinking Institute. He is currently a seventh grade English teacher at Guntown Middle School. The couple will exchange wedding vows at 6 p.m. Saturday April 26, 2014, at Rosalie Mansion in Natchez. A reception will follow in the gardens of Rosalie Mansion.
