The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ms. Jenell Mitchel of Cleveland, Ms. Laura Speakes of Oxford, Mr. Larry Speakes of Cleveland and Ms. Peggy Huerta of Merigold.
Miss Huerta is a 2007 graduate of Bayou Academy. In 2011, she earned a bachelor’s of business administration degree from University of Mississippi, where she was a member of Kappa Delta-Alpha Mu Sorority. She also was a member of the Chancellor’s Leadership Class, Beta Gamma Sigma, National Association of Collegiate Scholars, Ole Miss Marketing Organization and Student Alumni Association. She also received the James D. Pearson Memorial Scholarship.
Miss Huerta is currently the owner of H Squared Boutique.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Billie Chapman of Itta Bena and the late Mr. Ben Chapman and Mrs. Fairy Wilson Kelly of Itta Bena and the late Mr. R.L. Kelly.
Mr. Kelly is a 2001 graduate of Cruger Tchula Academy and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Delta State University in 2007.
He is currently the director of marketing and development with Huerta Construction and is a member of the Cleveland Volunteer Fire Department.
The couple will be married in a 6 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at the bride’s home, 924 McKnight Road in Cleveland. The reception will follow at The Warehouse in Cleveland. All family and friends are invited to attend.
