James Emmett “Jim” Crocker, 66, of Ft. Worth, Texas, died Saturday, October 26, 2013.

Born on March 2, 1946, to Mr. and Mrs. J. E. “Earl” Crocker, he graduated from Cleveland High School in 1965 and went on to receive his masters in music from Delta State University in 1971. While at DSU, he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternal brotherhood. Jim taught high school music and chorus which was his passion. He touched the lives of all his students and still had close relationships with many of them throughout his life. After teaching, he had a long and fulfilling career with American Airlines.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Ethel Crocker.

Jim leaves behind a daughter, Kelly Crocker, a sister Pat Lewis (James), two nieces, Heather McCollum (Ronnie), and Brandi Beach. He had three great-nephews, two great-nieces, and a special cousin, Barbara Crocker. He also leaves close and caring friends, Don Stutts and Jeff Wolk.

Plans for a memorial service will be decided at a later date. All friends and family will be welcomed to attend.

Jim will be greatly missed by family and friends alike. Comfort is found in knowing that the battle is over, and he is at peace.
