Kenneth Lamar Sherron, 71, of Cleveland died on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at his home with his family at his side.

He was born on November 25, 1941, to James and Frances (Jumper) Sherron in Monticello, Ark. Mr. Kenneth moved to Cleveland at an early age and attended Cleveland Schools. He married Barbara Sullivan Sherron on January 27, 1967, in Cleveland. He was employed by Lyon Farms and as a mechanic for Baxter’s Laboratory for 27 years. He retired in 2004 and went to work with Martin Electric. He was also a former Auxiliary Deputy for the Bolivar County Sheriff’s Department and a member of Morrison Chapel Baptist Church.

Mr. Kenneth was a hunter and an avid Ole Miss fan. He enjoyed watching his grandson, Trevor, play ball for the Cleveland Wildcats. One of his favorite pastimes was tinkering with his '94 Dodge Ram truck.

Mr. Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John Wayne Sherron and Bobby James Sherron.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013, from 5-7 p.m. at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland.

Funeral Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2013, in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the North Cleveland Cemetery. The Reverend John Thomas will officiate the service.

He is survived by wife, Barbara Sullivan Sherron of Cleveland; two daughters, Kimberly Renee Sherron of Cleveland and Susan Michele (Charley) Lucas of Cleveland; special daughter, Tara Utz (David) Herrin of Boyle; two sisters, Linda Sherron (George) Smith of Madison and Sandra Sherron (Merrell) Boyd of Pope; grandson, Trevor Hamilton of Cleveland; special granddaughter, Riley Edington of Boyle; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Robert McDaniel, Bob Martin, Kevin Lofton, Len Hamilton, David Herrin and Lane Quinton.

Honorary pallbearers are Neely Robinson, Zach Flint, George Smith, Merrell Boyd, Cody Flint, Trent West, Trevor Hamilton and Keith Lofton.

Memorials may be made to the Morrison Chapel Baptist Church building fund or the charity of donors’ choice.
