A Memorial Service will immediately follow beginning at 2 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Phillips officiating.

She was born in Natchez and welcomed by her loving adoptive parents, the late John Stewart Fair Sr. and the late Mary Louise Richardson Fair of Louisville on June 10, 1949.

Louise, known as "Sister" by her loved ones, graduated from Louisville High School in 1967 and attended Belhaven College in Jackson and Delta State University in Cleveland. In her early 20s, she married and relocated to the Mississippi Delta and made it her home.

Her three children, seven grandchildren, and nieces and nephews were the joy and loves of her life. She had a true free spirit whose kind heart, laughter, quick wit, and genuine smile touched everyone who met her.

Louise had many creative talents including needlepoint, cross-stitching, collecting antiques, gardening, and enjoyed genealogy research. She also had a flare and passion for cooking and entertaining friends and family. Louise loved to relax outdoors with her dearest companion, Riley Kelley, and their pets, Lily and Captain. She affected the lives of those who knew her and was always willing to help a stranger or friend in need, including stray animals.

Louise is preceded in death by her parents Mary Louise and John S. Fair Sr.

She is survived by her beloved life partner, Riley Kelley of Boyle; her children, Joel Ponder (Connie) of Brandon, Mary Christen "Christy" Westbrook (Clint Tibbs) of Cleveland and Katherine Stewart Brenza (Stephen) of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.; her grandchildren, Lindsey, Taylor, Baylee, Tate, Jordan, Anna Katherine, and Christopher.

She is also survived by her brother, John Stewart Fair Jr. (Bonnie) of Louisville; two sisters, Faye McKinion (Henry) of Wilmer, Ala., and Diane Miller (David) of Semmes, Ala.; Debbie Kelley of Gulfport; Tammy Kelly Chambers of Cleveland; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family wishes to thank her friends who faithfully visited, cared for and loved her during her period of illness.
