A Celebration of Life Service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Christ Episcopal Church with Father Sam Godfrey, rector, officiating. Visitation will be at Riles Funeral Home in Vicksburg from 5-7 p.m. Thursday.
Born in Shelby, Scottie was the daughter of the late Guy Edward Neal and Alberta Scott Neal. She received her master’s degree in counseling from Delta State University. Scottie was employed in 2000 by Haven House Family Shelter and was appointed executive director of Haven House Family Shelter in 2006. She served as president of the Mississippi Coalition Against Domestic Violence from 2011 to 2012. Scottie was of the Episcopal faith.
She is survived by a daughter, Paula Kiihnl King (Malcolm Lewis) of Cleveland; son, Neal Kiihnl (Jamie) of Madison; two granddaughters, Neely Kiihnl and Marly Kiihnl; two grandsons, Gabe Kiihnl and Thomas Lewis; 3 Sisters: Elizabeth Neal Williams of Lexington; Virginia Golding Paris of Winona and Alice Neal King (Jimmy) of Bossier City, La.; and sister-in-law, Jennie Kay Forrest Neal, Champaign, Ill.
In addition to her parents, Scottie was preceded in death by her brother, Guy Walter Neal Sr.
