“Pop-Up” restaurants have become popular all over the country and are a temporary dining experience with an upscale menu as a twist on cafeteria-style lunches.
This menu will not include the typical peanut butter and jelly sandwich or grilled cheese and is being prepared by several different chefs.
“Expect the unexpected when attending this event,” said Leigh Anne Gant. “A few of the menu items are PB&J (Fois Gras and Fion Brioche), pancakes on a stick (smoked jalapeno sausage with dirty grits), fish sticks (beer battered grouper with sweet potato sticks with presto mayo), and frito pie (grilled lamb and feta cheese over veggie sticks).”
Gant said, “To enhance your experience with the cafeteria cuisine, special guest chefs have volunteered their time and talent to complete this ‘Pop-Up’ style dining.”
“The Hayes Cooper Booster Club is sponsoring this event to raise money for outdoor playground equipment, soccer nets, outdoor art areas and to improve the overall grounds by adding landscaping, picnic tables and flower beds. It was added to the annual “Dinner for 2 … Not on You” raffle ticket sale that is currently going,” said Kristi Seeley, -president of the Hayes Cooper Booster Club.
