Master chef Robert St. John and painter Wyatt Waters will partner for a night of food and artistry.
St. John, who is the owner of the Purple Parrot Cafe, Crescent City Grill and the Mahogany Bar, will prepare a five-course meal as Waters dazzles attendees with an original painting which will capture the spirit of the cuisine.
Waters and St. John are no strangers when it comes to pairing food and art. The two have collaborated together for two cookbooks: “A Southern Palate” and “Southern Seasons.”
The cookbooks are filled with delicious southern recipes and images that coincide beautifully.
Waters, who owns Wyatt Waters gallery in Clinton, plans to paint a watercolor that is timed from start to finish with the meal.
Carol Tatum, who has spearheaded the event, said this is one meal you don’t want to miss.
“I have heard Robert speak before and loved him,” said Tatum. “Wyatt is a wonderful artist and friend. The two together will be fantastic. We have had a great response for this event and the BPAC will benefit from this. I look forward to the five-course dinner and the live painting.”
Tickets are $250 for premier seating or $150 for reserved seating. All proceeds will benefit the Bologna Performing Arts Center.
