Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Lively Stone Church of God in Christ in Rosedale. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery in Rosedale with Bishop Paul Williams officiating.
Visitation will be held from 4-5 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2012, at the Redmon Funeral Home Chapel with a family hour to follow from 5-6 p.m. and at the church on Saturday morning from 10-11 a.m.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jakovis Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Undraye Smith of Rosedale; three children, Scharwenka Smith of Pine Bluff, Ark., Kavaraceus (Lateisha) Smith of Southaven, and Alicia (McClain) Bradley of Lansing, Ill.; parents, Ella and Jimmie Smith Sr. of Rosedale; four brothers, Eddie (Rose) Smith, James Smith and Lawrence (Rose) Smith, all of Rosedale, and Vinny Smith of Peoria, Ill.; two sisters, Rosie Clinton of Rosedale and Barbara Ann Smith of Peoria, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
