Christians, Take a Stand!
I write this article because God gave it to me to cry out to his people to take a stand. We should take a stand against the laws that have been passed that go against God's word. If you are a Christian or a minister, how can you vote for people who stand for laws that are contrary to the Bible, such as abortion or same sex marriage? If God is against anything, it's those things. Read your Bibles.
What upsets me the most is, I see pastors and ministers voting for and supporting leaders that are promoting these ungodly lifestyles. They are called to be shepherds of the flock and leaders of God's sheep. Church members, wake up!
This is a double standard and the Bible says a double minded man is unstable in all his ways. There is no excuse that justifies this. It really upsets me to see this and it just shows the hour we are living in. God is no respecter of persons. In fact he expects more from his pastors and leaders. I cannot sit by and not say anything about this. If the blind follow the blind, they will all fall in the ditch. But God will judge. Remember Sodom and Gomorrah?
When Elijah came back into Jerusalem and saw the people worshipping Baal and involved in witchcraft, he stood up and said, "If Baal be God worship him, or if God be God worship him." He stood up for the truth!
Our nation is headed downward. We've got to pray. Call a solemn assembly. When Israel, in the Old Testament, was in trouble the priests would call a solemn assembly and pray and God would hear and answer.
II Chronicles, Chapter 7, says, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, and repent and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven, and will heal their land."
Prayer is the greatest force we have. It works. Pray before you vote. This is a crucial time in our nation's history. We can lead God's people down the right path or down the wrong path, and we will have their souls and lives on our hands and be accountable for them.
Church take a stand! If God be for us, who can be against us.
