Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Brown Jr. of Cleveland and Ms. Beverly Brown of Hernando announce the engagement of their daughter, Maghan Marie Brown, to Ranson Heath Ashmore, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Ashmore of Grenada and Ms. Linda Cook Ashmore of Clarksdale.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Garner of Boyle, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Brown of Cleveland and the late Juanita Vivian Brown.

She is a graduate of Bayou Academy, attended Delta State University, and graduated from Mississippi Delta Community College with an associate degree in nursing.

Maghan is a registered nurse at Continue Care Home Health.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Crook and the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ashmore.

He is a graduate of Lee Academy and received a bachelor in agriculture science from Mississippi State University.

Heath is a Chemical Sales Representative at Helena Chemical in Cleveland.

The Couple will exchange vows in a private ceremony at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at Cleveland Church of Christ.

A reception will be held at Grover's Corner in Cleveland.
