Medders to fight Purifoy on Saturday

Cleveland resident Jae Medders will climb back into the cage as he takes on Law Purifoy in the V3 Fighting Championships Saturday evening at Minglewood Hall in Memphis, Tenn.

Medders will be competing in the 155-pound weight class, and it will be his first fight since December of 2011. Medders’ fight record currently stands at a perfect 5-0. Purifoy is a veteran of mixed martial arts as he has a fight record of 8-6, according to Medders.

Medders said the fight will be a huge test for him.

“It’s going to be my toughest fight yet,” Medders said. “I’ve trained very hard for this one, and I’m going to put on a good show win or lose.”

The fight will start at 7 p.m. with tickets prices ranging from $25 to $50. Tickets are sold online at or at Tickets are also sold at the gate.
