Lloyd eligibly held the driver of a blue Neon at gunpoint after the he tried to rob him.
In the earlier morning hours on Sunday, the Bolivar County Sheriff dispatcher received a call from an off-duty deputy that subjects in the Neon had run into the rear of his personal vehicle.
The subject driving the vehicle, which held four passengers, backed up and fled the scene.
The deputy then turned around and followed calling for assistance.
While the vehicle was slowed, two subjects jumped out.
The deputy recognized both subjects and continued to pursue the blue Neon.
As the deputy was pursuing the vehicle, two shots were fired back towards him, striking his vehicle.
The deputy discontinued his pursuit and went back to retrieve his patrol unit.
The deputy located both subjects that jumped out the vehicle and took them into custody and transported them to Rosedale Police Department until other deputies arrived.
After further investigation, deputies were able to obtain information that lead to the arrest of Lloyd.
Lloyd was taken into custody in Rosedale later that morning and transported to the Bolivar County Regional Correctional Facility.
