Break-in suspect caught

The Boyle Police Department has a person of interest in an ongoing investigation of a break-in at Boyle Lumber, which occurred last Thursday around 10:30 p.m.

According to Chief Murray Roark, J.D. Powell of Cleveland was caught on security cameras taking cash from the facility.

Powell was locked up Friday and then released on a $20,000 bond Monday morning.

In other law enforcement news, a female deputy of the Bolivar County Sheriff's Department was in a wreck Saturday in Gunnison.

Yolanda Harris was driving on U.S. Highway 1 North when she hydroplaned, causing her to wreck her patrol car.

She suffered minor injuries and the vehicle was towed from the scene on a flatbed truck.
