This occurs as a match is played to a completely or partially pre-determined result. In the secular world to participate in such a thing is unlawful and the person involved is considered a disgrace in that particular field.
If you knew the winner of a bout before the match ever occurred you would feel like one of the most powerful people in the world.
Recently a good friend of mine came under attack. This attack infiltrated their minds, heart and purpose for their lives.
In all honesty a lot of the problems that surfaced for my friend came as a result of their behavior. Truth-be-told most of us, myself included have created an abundance of issues for ourselves with our decision-making and our inability to lean on Christ.
When my friend's storm hit, it hit hard because I believe it had to be that way. I thought then just as I think now that God is the ultimate fight promoter and when he puts us in the ring there should never be any reason to ne scared or doubt his plan because the fight is fixed and we are already the winner.
"Now thanks [be] unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place," (2 Corinthians 2:14).
When I say the fight is fixed, I am saying that we are conquerors in Christ Jesus. I am saying we have strength to overcome any attack from the enemy because Jesus gave it to us when he defeated death.
"Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us," (Romans 8:37).
Knowing that you are guaranteed victory is something that should give you boldness and confidence.
When my friend came under attack I wanted to let them know that God allowed the enemy to attack Job. He let Job be under constant attack, but he did not let him die.
Sure we go through hard times and it seems like we may die from all the pain, disappointment, embarrassment, rejection and loneliness, but God is able and no matter how powerful or how strong your opponent is, no matter what tricks they pull, no matter what their advantages over you may seem to be, you are the declared winner.
Now the key to believing this concept lies in your ability to see things from a spiritual perspective. When we see things how God sees things we understand our victory in the fight comes from the inside, which is where our faith resides.
In your life right now you may be in the middle of a battle, I don't know what attack you are under or how the enemy is trying to get you off track. Regardless of the method I want you to know that the message is one of hope, joy and peace.
So many people figure victory is determined by the absence of external conflict. But in Christ it is important to understand that whether there is visible conflict or not, there is always a fight and the battleground is in our mind.
No matter what you face this week, understand and know that you can do all things through Christ, which strengthens you (Philippians 4:13).
Please know that what ever you face God is in control and there's no need to worry because the fix is in and you have already won.
Keep the faith and stay encouraged. M.J.T. Love.
