Ken Horton had a superb weekend on the course during the Cleveland Country Club Golf Championship Tournament this weekend.

Horton shot a four-under par 140 to win the event. He started off strong on Saturday by shooting a 67 and was able to hold on to the victory on Sunday by shooting a 73.

Horton’s 67 on Saturday gave him a good four-shot lead going into Saturday as Lee Gladden and Andy Lee were tied for second after Saturday’s play with a 71.

“The first day, I wanted to post a number that everybody had to catch,” Horton said. “The second day, I wanted to post a good score and stay ahead.”

Gladden, who had won the CCC Title the previous two years, finished second in the championship flight with a 143, followed by Lee with a 145.

W.E. Clark won the first flight with a 151, Will Jacks won the second flight with a 156, Heath Ashmore won the third flight with a 145, Mike Corbin won the fourth flight with a 162, Donald Swafford won the fifth flight with a 165 and Gerald Jacks won the sixth flight with a 176.
