I believe the most important aspect of a person's character is to know your strengths. I also believe in doing this you operate in confidence because you know exactly what you are capable of.

To have the understanding of what you have inside of you and using it to bless God to fight the enemy is essential to living a life where you are not controlled by your circumstances.

I once heard a minister talk about a fish found in the Red Sea called the Moses Fish. The name is derived from a myth that while Moses was splitting the Red Sea; this poor fish was caught in the middle and was split in half.

The scientific name for the fish is Pardachirus Marmoratus, also known as the finless sole or the Moses sole. It is a small fish that secretes a milky substance from the base of its dorsal and anal fins. This substance is known to repel sharks as well as freeze the sharks jaw.

Sharks love to eat the Moses fish and because of this God placed something on the inside of the fish to help it survive the attacks of the sharks.

In your imagination can you see this fish swimming in the Red Sea minding its business and all of a sudden a shark is there trying to eat it, but when it opens its jaws to devour the fish, the Moses Fish lets off this substance from the inside that locks the shark’s jaw and allows it to escape danger.

Just like the Moses Fish God has created something inside of us that gives us the power to lock the enemy’s jaw when he comes to kill, steal and destroy us.

In our lives we all have experienced moments when our problems seemed as if they would break us down, but I also know during those times I could rely on my inner strength to stump the enemy’s head and send him in retreat.

In Isaiah 40: 29-31 it reads, “He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

Always remember who you are and who created you.

I use to say that God won’t put more on you than you can bear, but now I understand that God will put more on you because He wants you to know that He will help you bear your burdens. God is always greater than your need and greater than your enemy.

You may not know it, but there is greatness inside of you, placed there by the almighty. People around you, even those closest to you may be completely unaware of the extraordinary things God has purposed for you to accomplish on this earth.

As you go forward in life you can go in the knowledge that God always loves you more than you love yourself, and because of that he has given you the tools necessary to fight the enemy and you can find it in His word.

Inside of us I truly believe that God has a strong desire for us to operate in faith, strength, wisdom, love, power, imagination, understanding, will, order, zeal, elimination and life.

When I truly think about knowing what's on the inside of us, I look at it like a woman carrying a child. When a pregnant woman comes into a room people in that room adjust to her. When she comes into the room a real man in his right mind will get up and give her his seat.

He does this because she’s carrying life inside of her. If you’re carrying Christ in you, when you enter the room the environment has to shift to your attitude.

People should be in awe of the Jesus inside of you and the anointing in you that it forces the environment to change.

When people can recognize this in you then we will start to see life coming forth. When life comes forth we will stop seeing the death in our finances, families, marriages, joy, etc.

We have gotten to the point in our culture that our ministries have Jesus written over them, but he’s not operating there. It can almost be compared to a microwaveable dinner. If you take a microwaveable dinner and cook it, you have to be careful when you eat it. It may be hot on the outside but when you get to the middle it’s cold.

If you’re hungry and this happens it can become very frustrating especially when you’re in need of something to go inside of you.

The world is in need of Christians who are not microwaveable that when they come to you looking to be fed they don’t get something cold. They don’t get your smile and speaking in tongue on Sunday and get your curse words and frowns on Monday.

The world is in need of Christians who allow Jesus to live inside them and they feed Him the right stuff to help nourish Him so that when He comes out people recognize it and stand in reverence and awe, not because of you but because it’s Him.

Keep the faith and stay encouraged. M.J.T. Love.
