She was born on December 23, 1927, to Grady Thomas and Leola Belle (Taylor) Williams in Guin, Ala. She married Aubra Wayne Bain Sr. on April 19, 1947, in Guin, Ala. She was homemaker for many years until she started work at Baxter Laboratory, where she spent 12 years until her retirement. Lois was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church Boyle.
She loved to crochet, quilt and cook. She was always full of laughter. She was the life of family events. Lois was a caregiver to many children over the years. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 3, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday November 4, 2013, at Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at 3 p.m. at the Carson Ridge Cemetery in Ethel. Reverends Clarence Edwards and Robert Haney will officiate the service.
She is preceded in death by Aubra Bain, husband; Billy Wayne Bain, brother; and Marie Self and Judy Lovell, daughters.
Lois is survived by son, Raymond (Cheryl) Bain of Harlem, Ga; daughter, Carolyn Self of Grenada; son, Thomas (Cindy) Bain of Longview, Texas; son, Wayne (Phyliss) Bain II of Grenada; sister, Myra Minor of Hamilton, Ga.; sister, Dorothy Brinkman of Belview, Ark.; sister, Doris Melvin of Aubrendale, Fla.; brother, Donald Williams of Lincoln, Neb; brother, Doyle Williams of Davenport, Fla.; brother, Dan Williams of N.M.; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Brian Self, Health Self, Thomas Bain, Caleb Bain, Matthew Palacious and Jessie Palacious. Honorary pallbearers are Austin Self, Derrick Self, Tyler Bain, Andy Weeks, John McGovern, Brian Welch and Brandon Palacious.
