“Our customers have expressed a need for faster upload speeds and we’re committed to listening to our customers and delivering the latest products and technical advancements while maintaining the highest level of reliability and customer care,” said Joe Felbab, Cable One Vice President of Marketing.
The company’s streaming 50 megabytes per second plan now has a three megabytes per second upload speed; the 60 megabytes per second premier plan has been upgraded to a four megabytes pre second upload speed; and the 70 megabytes per second ultra plan has been upgrade to a six megabytes per second upload speed.
Upload speed was formerly two megabytes per second across these plans.
"It's our goal to give our customers more value, and we think this is one way to do that," said Cable One Public Relations Manager, Patricia Niemann.
Cable One currently serves over 730,000 customers in 19 states with high speed internet, cable television, and telephone service and provides consumers a wide range of the latest products and services, including wireless Internet service, High-Definition programming, and phone service with free, unlimited long distance calling in the continental U.S.
In June, Cable One discontinued data plans with overage charges, allowing customers a 300 gigabytes data guideline for its 50 megabytes per second plan. The company also launched new 60 and 70 megabytes per second plans with even higher data guidelines.
“We’re confident that these faster upload speeds will enhance our customers’ Internet experience in an environment where more and more of our customers are sharing pictures and videos online,” Felbab said.
