Tap shoes are tapping, drums are drumming and paintbrushes are painting over at the Delta Arts Alliance.

The DAA is gearing up for its spring semester classes and it's not too late to register.

Rori Herbison, executive director for the DAA, is looking forward to the new semester and said, "I'm excited by the mix of classes we are able to offer. I think we are working hard to provide varied offerings that we've requests for in the past.

"I'm excited by the blend of new and returning students that have already enrolled. I'm excited any time I know a child is trying something new and tapping into their creative voice.

"Their smiles, their enthusiasm, their transformations over the semester — that all excites me."

Herbison added that some changes have been made to classes due to their popularity.

"We've seen a lot of excitement associated with our Creative Movement class, as it is the first time we dropped the class age to three. But those baby brothers and baby sisters, they want to dance, too.

"They want in the studio and we've figured out an offering that allows for that. We also have seen good numbers in our Performance Ensemble class, as well as the Introduction to Tap and Beginning Ballet class," she said.

Herbison encourages all budding artists to register for classes.

"Registration is open. Get those superstars and aspiring artist signed up now! Delta Arts Alliance is proud to offer 10 after-school offerings. ???Classes for ages three to 18," said Herbison.

"Does your child want to dance? Do you turn on the radio and your little man just can't sit still? He needs to dance, he wants to dance. Sign him up. Is your child a budding superstar? Can he sing? Does she want to play the piano? What about the bongos? Sign them up," she added.
