Local restaurants will be showing off their best dishes as well as creating signature dishes and drinks that will only be available for the one-week-only special.
This year’s participating restaurants include Sweets Barbeque Kitchen, Hey Joe’s Records and Cafe, Delta Meat Market, The Warehouse, and Mosquito Burrito.
William Rogers, Keep Cleveland Boring’s spokesperson, said this new tradition will be a way for these restaurants to show appreciation for Cleveland patrons.
“We always try to come up with new way to showcase good parts of Cleveland,” said Rogers. “We have tons of great restaurants in town and we wanted to have an event where they could really show off their best tricks.”
Hey Joe’s will be promoting a weeklong list of burger specials and a new gourmet burger each night. Mosquito Burrito also plans to have five new gourmet tacos available throughout the week.
All downtown restaurants are encouraged to participate in Restaurant Week.
Keep Cleveland Boring expects to make Restaurant Week an annual event and hopes that it will continue to draw support from other local businesses.
“We hope this year to establish a tradition and get a buzz going about it so it will continue to grow each year,” said Rogers. “We’d like to see people get excited about downtown restaurants.”
