Betty Jean Harper 83 of Fox Lake, Wis., died Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at Sylvan Crossings in Beaver Dam Wisconsin.

Services were at 11 a.m. Saturday February 8, 2014, in the chapel of Sylvan Crossings. Chaplain Dennis Richards officiated the services.

Mrs. Harper was born on May 27, 1930, in Bolivar County to Robert Lee McPherson and Alma Taylor McPherson. She married James Webster Harper Sr. on October 13, 1952. She was employed at Baxter Laboratories and was a RN at Bolivar County Hospital before moving to Fox Lake, Wis. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cleveland.

Survivors include her husband James W. Harper Sr. of Fox Lake, sons Jimmy Harper of Waupun and Percy Harper of Fox Lake; daughters, Jeannie Miller of Nesbit, Patricia McClain of Fox Lake and Ellen Waggoner of Kamiah, Idaho; brother, Bobby McPherson of Monroe, La.; a sister, Margaret Lowery of Columbus; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
