The Mississippi Association of Independent Schools All-Star basketball games will feature some top-notch talent from the area Friday at Jackson Prep in Flowood.

North Sunflower Academy’s Ronny Henley will play for the North in the Class A All-Star boys basketball game, while Bayou Academy’s Chantz Arbuckle and Tyler Kitchings will play for the North in the AA-AAA All-State boys basketball game. Henley had a great senior year for NSA by scoring 17.5 points with 12.5 rebounds per game. Roberson recently completed his first year as head coach at NSA, and he, along with Henley, guided the Rebels to an impressive 21-8 record with a trip to the North A State Playoffs.

In AA for Bayou, Kitchings averaged 12.5 points and 14.3 rebounds per game, while shooting 56.8 percent from the field. He was named the Most Valuable Player in District 1-AA. Arbuckle scored an average of 12.9 points with four assists and three rebounds per game. He also shot 43.2 percent from the field. Their production guided Bayou to North AA Playoffs with a 16-12 record.
