Clyde Michael “Mike” Gibson, 60, of Hot Springs, Ark., died Saturday, April 5, 2014.

He was born February 27, 1954, in Cleveland to Clarence and Mary Gibson.

He is predeceased by his father, Clarence Gibson.

Mike married Marge in 1984 at Mountain Home, Ark. They both worked at a nursing home in Mountain Home before moving to their farm in Ava, Mo. In the early 1990s Mike had kidney failure and was on dialysis until he received a donor kidney in 1999. In 2002 Mike and Marge separated due to continued medical issues for both. Mike moved to Hot Springs to join his parents and sister, Linda Gail. Mike’s continuing decline in health required him to move to Beverly Nursing Home (now Canyon Springs Health and Rehab) in 2004.

Mike was dedicated to his family, especially his Mother, whom he phoned morning and evening to check on her and say “I love you”.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Sims Gibson of Hot Springs; sister, Linda Gail Langston and her husband, Wayne, of Hot Springs; and sister, Mary Allison Buff and her husband, Bobby, of Granada Hills, Calif.

The family will receive guests at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home, Hot Springs, Ark., with a memorial service in Mike’s honor following at 2 p.m. Pastor John McCallum and Pastor Mike

Pounders will officiate.
