For senior catcher Reagan Walker, she made senior night at Cleveland High School a little more special Thursday night at the CHS softball field.

Walker tagged three hits to lead the Lady Wildcats to a 6-0 win over the Yazoo County Lady Panthers in Region 3-4A fastpitch softball action. Walker is Cleveland’s only senior and she was honored on senior night. Walker will be playing college softball at Holmes Community College next spring.

The Lady Wildcats improved to 15-8 and ended up wining the Region 3-4A Championship with a perfect 6-0 mark in region play. With Cleveland being region champions, the team will have a bye into the second round of the 4A State Playoffs. Cleveland will play the winner of the play-in series between the No. 2 seed from Region 4 and the No. 3 seed from Region 2 on the week of Apr. 28. Yazoo County will be a No. 2 seed from Region 3 in the playoffs.

Brianna Garner continued her good pitching for the year as she gave up just four hits with four strikeouts and no walks in the seven-inning complete game effort.

Along with Walker, Megan Skelton stroked two hits and scored a run, Lauren Ashley Collins nailed two hits and drove in two runs, McKarlee Ingram drilled two hits, drove in a run and scored a run, Ferris Love Capocaccia drilled two hits and scored twice, Kellie Cummins with a hit and a run, Garner with a hit and a RBI, Cassie Skelton with a hit and Anastasia Blockett with a run.
