“I think they showed great effort, Adrianne Cannon said. They were thrilling matches that were fun to watch. I’m quite proud of the boys one and two boys doubles. They showed no fear and went out and played strong. I commend Quadre Butler. He had a tough match. I do like that the students had fun when they played. My girls singles player said she had fun playing. All of them had great shots. We were able to learn what some of our strengths were and see the areas we needed to improve on.”
Many of East Side’s players will have one more shot to shine as they will compete in the 3A Individual State Tennis Tournament at the Ridgeland Tennis Center in Ridgeland on May 1.
