Brown-Wilds unite in marriage

Elizabeth “Ellie” Brown and Dr. Nathan Eric Wilds were united in marriage at 10:30 a.m. November 23, 2013, in the chapel at Bonne Terre in Nesbit, Mississippi.

Officiating the double-ring ceremony was Thomas Fuerst, the couple’s pastor at Christ United Methodist Church in Memphis, Tenn., where both are members.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Robert Brown of Cleveland. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Evelyn Walker and the late Mr. Herbert Walker of Pontotoc and the late Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Brown of Cleveland.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Joe Wilds of Greeneville, Tenn. He is the grandson of Mrs. Emma Dean Shelton and the late Mr. David F. Shelton and Mr. and Mrs. Landon Wilds, all of Greenville, Tenn.

The bride is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi where she was a member of the Honor’s College. She received a master of science in nursing from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and is employed in the emergency department at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and the neurological intensive care unit at Methodist University Hospital.

The groom is a cum laude graduate of Tennessee Technological University where he was a member of the Honor’s College and received a bachelor of science degree in cellular and molecular biology. He received his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and has completed residencies in both internal medicine and pediatrics. He is currently completing a fellowship in pulmonary critical care medicine.

Following their wedding trip, the couple is at home in Memphis, Tenn.
