George and Jeanie Brumfield of Cleveland announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Sarah Brumfield of Cleveland, to Deniger Cobb of Alligator, son of Robert and Angela Cobb of Alligator.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Virgil E. Knight and late Bertha Tynes Knight of Franklinton, La., late Estelle Byrd Brumfield of Bruton, Ala., and the late Jerry Brumfield of Bogalusa, La.

She is a graduate of Cleveland High School, Delta State University with a bachelor’s of science in biology from Delta State University; and University of Mississippi Medical Center with a master’s of occupational therapy.

She was a member of Phi Mu Fraternity serving as membership director and DSU Student Government. She was also DSU Student Director of H.L. Nowell Union, Miss DSU 2009, DSU Hall of Fame, UMMC School of Health Related Professions Student Government Vice President & President and Student Marshall at UMMC graduation. In 2009, she served as Phi Mu Fraternity Chapter Consultant.

She is employed as an occupational therapist at Baptist Rehabilitation in Germantown, Tenn.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Jane Cobb and late Henry Cobb of Clarksdale and Evelyn Virginia Burdett and late Joda Franklin Austin Jr. of Nashville, Tenn.

He is a graduate of Lee Academy and Delta State University where he received a bachelor of science in biology. He is currently a student at University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law.

He was DSU Senior Class Favorite, Greek Man of the Year, Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity President, DSU Hall of Fame, Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities, Order of Omega Greek Honor Society, Omicron Delta Kappa President. He is also an Eagle Scout

Wedding vows will be exchanged in a 6 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Morrison Chapel Baptist Church in Cleveland. A reception will follow at The Warehouse.
